It was nice and close to my sister and her doter who lives in Calgary witch was the main reason i moved out there.
The other reason was to save money and still have a bit of a travel experience at the same time. I had a lot of fun in banff even though i didn't get to do some of the things i wanted too. But i paid off all my debts from your Europe trip, bought my new SLR camera and saved enough to travel to central and south America witch I'm leaving for in a few weeks hopfully.

when i first moved to banff i stayed with a total syco for a week. i got the hell out of there as fast as i could and moved into staff acom where i met a bunch of cool people.

The first job i had in banff sucked, i was only working 15 hours a week and i hated it, o well i was only there for less than 3 months.
After living in staff acom i moved into a house with a bunch of the same kids. There was eleven of us in the house at one point, lol it was a jungle. We had some good times there though, especially when it got a bit nicer out and we could sit on the roof and drink beer all afternoon.

I also got to do a huge painting of africa on my wall. Ive wanted to do this for years, it was so much work but worth it. Too bad i only finished 12 hours before i moved out, owell at least i have a picture.

We had lots of party's and i got to hang out with my bestfriend at the time every night, it wasn't to bad at all. I got a job running the days in a small Asian fusion restraint called Typhoon, this would be my real home for most my time in Banff. I love this restraint, all the people i worked with and the owners.
After a few months of the days i moved up when the old boss left and took charge of the nights. It was a ton of fun, such a busy place, and after work lots of nights all the staff would have some thing to eat and sit around and drink all night long.

By this point i had moved into a little shitty crack shake of a house with my boy kayde, life was much quieter with only two of us together instead of 20 at staff acom or 11 in the safe way house as it was called.
I met lots of cool ppl while in banff especially the Japanese girls (Miwa, Miho, Eye, Satomi and a few others) who i worked with and hung out with all the time. Every one in the two restraints, Kyade, Megan, Dennis, Sam, Mike, Lish, Louise, Jay, Stephan, Laura and a ton of other people that would take way to long to mention.

Banff is right in the midle of the Rocky Mountains so i got to do a bit of skiing in the winter and hiking in the summer. I used to stay up all night and then go for a walk an hour before sunrise to take pictures.

I moved home because i missed my family and all my friends would be coming home for xmas and i wanted to spend some time with every one before I going traveling again.

Back To Main Page

Click Here To Go Back To The Main Page
